If you are overwhelmed with this crisis, seek advice of mental health professional or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have. Mental health resources for Ukrainian veterinarians are listed HERE (updated 03/06/2022).

In addition, VetCT has produced a series of free training videos on managing trauma in animals in conflict or natural disaster situations. The bite-size videos, created to support veterinary treatment in light of the conflict in Ukraine, address everything from field triage to providing emergency care in austere circumstances. The training is free to access on the VetCT website HERE.

MSCA4Ukraine – New fellowship Scheme As part of the EU’s response to the Russian Federation’s invasion of Ukraine, a new dedicated fellowship scheme ―MSCA4Ukraine―will provide support to displaced researchers from Ukraine. This support will enable displaced doctoral and postdoctoral researchers to continue their work at academic and non-academic organisations in EU Member States and Horizon Europe Associated Countries, while maintaining their connections to research and innovation communities in Ukraine. The scheme may also facilitate researchers’ reintegration in Ukraine if conditions for safe return are met, in order to prevent permanent brain drain, and contribute to strengthening the Ukrainian university and research sector and its collaboration and exchange with the international research community.
The budget for the scheme is 25 million euro. Fellowships will be awarded for a minimum of 6 months, up to a maximum of 24 months. Fellowships are not renewable. MSCA4Ukraine fellowships are open to all domains of research and innovation. Details for host organisations are HERE. Details for researchers are HERE . The call opens on 24 October 2022: Call opens for submission of applications via an online portal. Link will be provided at https://www.sareurope.eu/msca4ukraine
