The UK project, initiated by Meat Industry Association of Ukraine and Cofarming Ukraine, aims to:
1. Employ population in the frontline regions. Many Ukrainians do not leave their homes, even in conditions of war and close to the front line. The project provides stable income to families and give them with food.
2. Boost grain sales. It is problematic to take grain from the frontline regions, and logistics takes all the profits of farmers. However, farmers continue to sow their fields.
3. Employ war veterans. Pig farming in Ukraine has become a very profitable business. Helping war veterans and their families can start business with minimal investment
Family Pig Farms aims to promote the development of sustainable, efficient and competitive small and medium-sized businesses in the pig farming sector – Donation can be in the form of funds, equipment, technologies, etc.
